Greedyland

I started working on Greedyland just one week before the NeuraNode | Avalanche Game Jam deadline, with no prior experience in Web3 or NFT games. 

It was a fun challenge to learn everything from scratch and bring this idea to life!

In Greedyland, your mission is simple: grab your tools and start breaking rocks, mining deep into the forest to uncover hidden treasures. Along the way, you'll find valuable metals like Gold, Platinum, Silver, and Iron. Sell them on the local market to upgrade your gear and become even more efficient at digging.

But the real prize? NFTs.

As you mine, there's a chance you'll discover unique NFTs with different rarity levels:

Limited (500/500)

Rare (100/100)

Very Rare (10/10)

Ultra Rare (3/3)

Legendary (1/1)

You can claim collect, and trade these NFTs directly inside the game using the built-in marketplace.

Key Features

Upgradeable Tools:

• Start with basic gear and work your way up! Equip yourself with an Axe, Pickaxe, Sickle, Dynamite, Radar, and  Metal Detector. Each tool serves a unique purpose and can be upgraded to increase power, efficiency, and detection range, making your mining adventure smoother and more rewarding.

Valuable Metal Mining:

• Greedyland isn’t just about NFTs. Dig through rocks and discover valuable metals like Gold, Platinum, Silver, and Iron. Sell these resources at the local in-game market to earn cash for upgrading your tools and unlocking new gear.

NFT Treasure Hunt:

• While mining, you might uncover hidden NFTs with various rarity levels. Each NFT has limited supply and different levels of value.

Extraction Point Survival:

• Collecting loot is just half the job. To secure your earnings, you must return safely to the Extraction Point (your car). If you quit or disconnect before extracting, you lose everything you gathered. Risk it all or play it safe—it's up to you!

Integrated Marketplace:

• No need to leave the game to trade! Greedyland features a fully functional NFT Marketplace where players can list their NFTs for sale, browse other listings, and build their own collection of rare in-game treasures.

Hand Tools:

• Axe, Pickaxe, Sickle: These are your main tools for smashing through rocks and clearing obstacles. Upgrading any hand tool increases its Damage, allowing you to break materials faster, but be prepared—each swing will also drain more Stamina as your tools get stronger. So make sure to manage your energy wisely during long mining runs!

• Dynamite: Why swing when you can just blow things up? Dynamite clears multiple rocks in one blast and costs no stamina, making it a perfect option when you're low on energy. Upgrading dynamite boosts its explosion power, allowing it to destroy stronger rocks and cover larger areas. However, stronger dynamite is more expensive to craft and use—so spend wisely!

• Radar: A helpful tool that scans the surrounding area, revealing nearby rocks that contain metals or hidden items.

• Metal Detector: Want to know exactly what metal is hiding inside a rock before you waste energy breaking it? The metal detector scans individual rocks and tells you what’s inside. Upgrading the detector improves its accuracy and lets it scan faster, helping you focus on the most valuable finds.
